Baller FC x Euro 2022
It's not always easy to watch the sport you want to see, in a place you want to be. So we want to change the game, and invite you to join our club. We are Baller Friends Collective.
Baller FC is a group of friends, event producers, DJs, musicians, passionate members of the LGBTQI+ community and HUGE football fans who are creating an inclusive DIY space this summer, where we can celebrate football, women’s football culture and all watch the beautiful game together.
We want to welcome all fans of women’s football to join us, as we join forces with The Stag’s Head in Hoxton to show every single game, all 31, of the Women’s EURO 2022 live, plus parties, art, fanzine making, shirt customisation, movie screenings, weekend BBQs and more. Every Friday and Saturday night Baller FC DJs host ‘Soccermom’ from 10pm until late, for all fans to carry on the celebrations long after the final whistle.
We of course, passionately support our Lionesses, but we play fair and show respect to our rivals - we want to invite and welcome fans from all over Europe to come and watch their teams take part!
Baller has commissioned Hackney based illustrator Emma Hayden to create portraits, in her unique style, of 5 players from teams across Europe, who we think will set the tournament alight this summer. These will be available to buy in July as prints and on apparel. There will also be a unique dedication to Sarina Wiegman, in honour of her first major tournament managing The Lionesses.
So - whether you’re a die hard fanatic who can recite the offside rule in their sleep, to those people picked last for PE, we are on your side - regardless of which team you support, or bat for, in a friendly space where we can all watch sport without prejudice!
